This template is at 4096x4096 resolution, which I recommend as a working resolution, however before export to game, I would recommend to scale down your finished skin to 2048x2048
it will have better performance in game and from far you won't notice much difference

working in double resolution then your final resolution gives you some nice additional aliasing/sharpness when exporting

btw. not sure if that's where skin goes.. but I think you guys can post link to your skins into this thread, .. so that it's easy to find
