Hello Codemaster community.

It's my first post at this forum, and despite I am not a F12011 nor F12012 player, I enjoy every day to see the great job some of you are doing to improve these games.

May be some people coming from GP4 community know me;). I am painting for this ollllld game since several years and since the first Toro Rosso STR1, I try to reproduce their beautiful liveries in game.

This is my last one done on the STR7 of F1 2012. If one of you is interested to import it in f1 2012
just tell me and I will upload the tga file somewhere and will let you know the link

This is the preview (to see the real size of the picture, click on it, then zoom it at imageshack)

and now how it looks in a game of 11 years old

Great work! Come, we welcome all your work in your car, especially if you like to do seasonal packages and even it would be nice to play some of the F1 2011 Season Car Pack (Marussia, McLaren, Lotus F1 Team, bla.bla, blah) Thanks!

I want have it!

I like that it looks a bit different, i dont know why it looks diferent, is it darker or more mat?

I dont know, anyway, i love it!

Looks different because the screenshots are from a different game.

True but not the alone reason. The texture is a bit rendered

Yup I can see that, sort of a matted glitter multiplied effect.

Probably done with the add noise funtion in PS or something similar.

My point was, the matt look to the car.

The CM's game has a pre set gloss within the texture files.

You wouldn't have been able to get the matt finish within the game.

Unless of course you turn the gloss off within the materials.xml.

Hmmmm a bit more complex. Noise added on the blue (a few %) then Rendered with 3DS Max:whistling:
About the matt finish... I am not able to comment. You know surely this game and its specificity much more than me;)

I thought it would be a little more complex than just adding a touch of noise.

You can re-create the matt look though, materials just need a bit of tinkering with to get the desired effect.

But got to admit.....looks pretty sweet in that 11 year old game.

;)

Thanks.:)

....yes now I too paid attention that the car matt!
It would be interesting to try it in game.
