Tired of waiting for Fanatec QR2, so found a solution.

Hi.
Waiting for Fanatec to release the QR2 has been highly frustrated. While there are some clear benefits to the Fanatec ecosystem, for me they seem to care less and less about sim racers (other than cheaper products to get the revenue coming in). That said I have a DD2 which has been rock solid and reliable, other than the wobbly mush created by the QR.

I got tired of waiting for QR and found an outfit out of the UK on eBay. I took a chance, ordered a replacement QR and man I am super happy. My steering wheels are as rock solid as the rest of the vehicle rig, and FFB is much better. Added a few pics here.

I am assuming the powers that be deleted the pic from the eBay auction that I shared for reference, even though the auction expired. Let me know if you need more info, but I assume there are alternatives out there.

SRM also has produced a replacement shaft which can be used with other quick releases on fanatec bases.

Very cool. For me, I have podium hubs, so the goal was to have a solid Fanatec mount rather than make the wheel base work with other quick releases.
