Something different this week as we go single class tin top racing with the popular JCW Mini Cooper on the full GP circuit at Brands Hatch.

This is an ideal time to try something different if you have never tried this type of racing. Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities amongst a friendly community, without the intensity of longer races, plus the chance to get it right in race two!

Hi Ernie,

Enter as per the link, ignore the images of the TCR cars, they were used in previous Tin top races and the emperor server confusingly calls it a championship, it's not.

If you scroll down the page you will see the event details. I'll get the practice server started soon.

Good morning waveformq.
You will need Overtake premium membership to compete in this event. For 11.99 euros per year this represents great value and opens up a whole host of benefits and allows you to race amongst a friendly and helpful community.

Once you have this come back to me here and we will be pleased to give you details of the server etc and have you join our races.

Also, if you can use English in these threads it will help speed up replies.

Regards,

Paul.

Hi everyone and thanks @Shed 17 Paul to let me back into a Mini Cooper, the car with which I started my journey into recent simracing (i.e. during pandemic, actually I race since my twenties but I was on an hiatus with regards to proper PC + rig racing since many many years), not to mention how much I miss driving my Mini (but I'll get another one sooner or later, even if I don't like the direction the design is taking in recent models. Ideally, I'd get another R55 or an F54).
Back to the topic, has anyone problems when racing this beauty in VR? I found out that the position of my point of view is behind the driver, so that I can see his body (without an helmet, just as if it was harry potter's Nearly Headless Nick). I tried adjusting the driving position with Assetto Corsa Onboard settings and that fixed the POV but it messed up the interface as if I was actually that much forward... To understand if there was something I was missing I started another race using a different car, and everything was OK... :O_o:
