Hi Chris,

No chance of covering our few lost souls in South Africa on a European server for Assetto Corsa?

I am predominately a solo artist doing hot laps and AI but have been doing so for years and would like to test the waters with good multiplayer events, will appreciate your feedback,

Thank you,

ET

Hi ET,

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Are you looking to get into some rd racing?

You 'lost souls' are welcome in any of the races, be it Australian, American or European events. Since South Africa is in the same timezone as I am currently (Amsterdam) and after the DST rollback you will be in the same time zone as Eastern Europe, which means you should be able to join our events in the evening ;)
A high ping is not really a problem anymore in the more recent Assetto Corsa builds, the only thing that is a problem is when your connection is unstable, then you will start warping around and see other drivers warping as well. You can test the stability of your connection by using www.pingtest.net and selecting a dutch server. (RD's EU and USA servers are hosted in the Netherlands)

Can confirm that, high ping is no big problem, as long as it's stable. I've raced in several AU AC Club races, the only issue is that with faster cars the cornering starts to look weird.
