Tactile Immersion - Mounting transducers for Chassis Mode

Hi all,

I've been reading through the excellent posts in this forum regarding tactile immersion and am experimenting with how to mount them to my 80/20 rig.

Goal:
I'm looking for input on how I currently have them mounted and I welcome suggestions on different mounting methods. I want to get them set up so that I have good tactile feedback without going crazy trying to get it to be perfect.

As I said, I've been reading a ton here and on the iRacing forum, but my head is spinning from all of the different ways that people are mounting these things and I don't know what they're supposed to sound and feel like. Pics are below.

Parts I'm working with:
  • Chassis
    • Self-designed aluminum extrusion, all 15 series (1515 and 1530)
    • Measures approx. 53cm (21in) wide by 152cm (60in) long
    • Seat is a Corbeau Baja RS
  • Transducers
    • ADX Maximus (x4)
  • Amp
    • WONDOM AA-AB33182 4x100W at 4 Ohm Class D Digital Audio Amplifier Board STA508 (x1)
    • Mean Well MW NES-350-24 24 VDC 14.6A 350W Regulated Switching Power Supply (x1)
  • Isolation
    • Diversitech MP4-E E.V.A. Anti-Vibration Pad, 4" x 4" x 7/8" (x4)
Notes:
- Each one of the Maximus are bolted to a VESA adapter plate to give it some backing.
- Seat is mounted to the rig with a 15 series corner bracket bolted to each of the four threaded mounting holes on the seat frame.
- I'm going to use some kind of anti-vibration mat underneath the entire chassis, so I'm just concerned about isolating different parts within the chassis.
- I'm in the US, I have never used a transducer before, and I'm planning on using SimVibe chassis mode.
Questions:
  1. The front transducers are mounted directly to the chassis base, not directly connected to the pedal frame. Would I be better off mounting them to the cross members to be able to localize the vibration more?
  2. The two rear transducers - should I mount to the chassis base like the front is so that it's even, or underside of the 80/20 seat base, or directly to the seat?
  3. Has anyone found isolators that are appropriate for use under the pedal plate, i.e. does not cause movement of the whole area under pedal pressure. Pedals are Protosimtech PT-2 with 50kg loadcell and 80a durometer bushing.
I'm open to any input the community has. Mounting these things is testing my patience a bit; it all just seems so complicated.
TIA!
