Stuck in spectator in MP?

I am. If I join any server, regardless of practice or Q or race, regardless of continent or time of day, regardless of car or track, I'm stuck as a spectator, my name below the [Server] and not among the drivers who have times next to their names.

Never happened in SCE.

you have to get rid of spectator in menu . I had that same problem ,untick spectator and it works

Where do I untick this?

I am not at home, so can not take a look, but it has to be somewhere in lobby ->Internet options.
