Malwarebytes has long said SRMZ is malicious simply because they are not https
Last year they went down for about four days, believe the site owner had some RL issues and neglected to pay the server fees. Now they have been down about two weeks, "isitdown" reports the server not responding. No idea the issue but think it's time they seriously consider a backup site (a mirror for the mirror zone, lol).Unfortunately the site seems down again.... Yesterday I couldn't reach it either... Anyone knows what's the matter?
"If you use decent VPN neither site will open..."Don't know what to say about that revelation.
Well because https is encrypted and 99.9% of all sites can use https no problems ?
SMRZ and GPLRANK are the only sites I used to use out of 100's not encrypted.
If you use decent VPN neither site will open unless you pull your pants down and bend over.
No thank you.
Aside from GPL Alternative forum, maybe it's a good idea of SRMZ backup site on some of the free forum host platforms (forumotion, proboards, etc).it's time they seriously consider a backup site (a mirror for the mirror zone, lol).
Nice to know, but lighten up on registration.Entire Track Database and a ton of mods are backed up here: https://gpladdons.the-fastlane.co.uk/
Alternative forum here:
The forum has nothing to do with me. It's owned by Stefan Roess. I will ask him to remove the six character username restriction.Nice to know, but lighten up on registration.
I was jgf at TheUSPits.
I was jgf at RSC.
I was jgf at Blackhole Motorsports.
I was jgf at SRMZ.
I was jgf at NoGrip.
I am jgf here.
Your forum will not accept jgf so guess I'm not welcome there.
Username length is now reduced to 3 characters. Fancy trying again? Thanks! I know Stefan from SRMZ, along with many other names I recognize at the new site, hope many more find it. And hope the old SRMZ forums can be recovered, so much GPL info and trivia there, even if just archived and made available somewhere.
I just get "taking too long to respond". Isitdown reports "the server is not responding".
Malwarebytes has long said SRMZ is malicious simply because they are not https (it also tells me drivingitalia is malicious for the same reason). For a real treat use Malwarebytes and Brave browser, between them they'll block half the internet.
