We are starting off the year with a basic car for our Wednesday social events.
So any premium drivers looking to start online racing.
this is the car for you to dip your toes in the club racing at RD

Wait? What is this?
For this event you need absolutely nothing special. A copy of Assetto Corsa, keyboard, console controller, or steering wheel it's all fine. Today we are going to focus on getting you on the online track (for the first time) and giving you a great experience and making you a better driver.

Make sure to be on time for the extended practice session and have teamspeak installed and be with us for the full length of the event. This is the longest session of almost an hour to get familiar with the car and the track. That's right, you don't need to practice offline first. You can come by fully unprepared

After practice we move to qualification to decide the racing order and do a short fun race of only 30 minutes so everybody can return to their wives, girlfriends, mom in time.

Who can join?
All premium members using their full Real Name in the forum, race servers and teamspeak can sign up for this event and we have unlimited slots available so make sure to bring a friend. Sign up below and make sure to tag fellow community members who you think are up for a challenge!

Not a premium member yet but interested to race with our group of friendly drivers?

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.

Golden Rule

  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Sign me up please.

In please, thanks

Could I join in on Wed evening please. Hopefully I'll will have sorted out team speak.

Hi all, I just started with AC and racing, joined the website and paid for the premium so please sign me up! I look forward to meet you guys for the first time

Welcome aboard! We tried to install Ferrari engines in these but failed as we can't afford it :roflmao:

Joined the server this evening hoping someone would be on so I could check TS. There was another guy on (Alan, couldn't remember surname) but not the Toyota/ Mugello server. Unfortunately the static/interference was overwhelming I had to take the headphones off. I tried to find out why and it looked like Alan had his mic on/stuck permanently. So my question is, was I on the wrong channel or could it have been the open mic? Is there anything I need to do with my TS before Wed night?

Tony - firstly, the race should be over now on the AC channel right now so by all means join for a TS test.
Secondly, you can mute individual people in the TS interface (or change their volume levels) if they are too loud.

Question: when you switch channels, is the announcement of doing so clean and well for your ears? If yes, you'll be fine for tomorrow!
We take care of such noises. Asking nicely and then moving the one with a little message to another channel :)
BTW I saw you in the afternoon. Sadly didn't have time to say hello. Don't wonder! :inlove:

Sorry Neil, I've only just seen this :( After spending a little time on the sim normally the rest of the evening is with the Wife (she's gone to bed now). I'll try a few of the tips above tomorrow, thanks again.
