A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Sounds good, I'd like to give it another go please, Craig.

This might be a bit much to ask, but it'd be really cool if one of the faster/experienced guys could help a rookie driver like me to go faster around the track and give some general tips for improvement. I'm still waiting for those driver academies, and I feel like a some guidance would go a long way to helping me improve. Otherwise I'll just be out there experimenting, which is also a lot of fun, but a bit less time effective :D

If you get on the server nice and early on race night, I am sure there will be several guys that would help, or you could just ride along with them as passenger. The more you race, the more you will get to know the guys you are racing with and the more they will get to know you and become very helpful..racing line ..break points ..setups ..are very often talked about on TS

Glad that you are joining us again

Hiya Ron, Craig is spot on with the 'ride along advice', invaluable! When I asked the same question, Rasmus gave me this info 'cos I didn't know how to ride in other cars (apologies if you do know!):
"...hop onto other drivers during practice and qualy. Ctrl + numpad 1/2/3 will make you jump into other cockpits (previous/yours/next). This way you can live view the quick drivers, seeing the big differences at first glance".

Also, if you haven't already, have a read here: https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/driving-style-and-setup-threads.146106/ a great read, and vid's too:)

...mind you, I still think 'f**k me, how do they do that?':roflmao:

Does that actually also allow me to see the pedal inputs from widgets too? I always spectated through the pit window by clicking on a name, but you can't see those there. Would be really nice and that would help a lot I think.
The strange thing is, normally learning theory is one of my strong suits, but with racing my brain just shuts off  I'll be going through those resources though, and we'll see what sticks when I'm in the cockpit. Thanks guys :D

Funny you should mention that, I can't remember if you see the pedal inputs:roflmao: You can get a good grasp from listening to the engine note and tyre noise to get tips, you can usually tell who's trail braking well, which I wish I could master like they do. The link above has a priceless vid on the 'Traction Circle' and watching the top guys on here you can see how good they are at this.
