BMW M235i Racing + Barcelona Moto? I wanna see a drift compilation after the race!
Fasten your seat-belts and be careful with the right foot - this car likes it sideways!

Wait? What is this?
For this event you need absolutely nothing special. A copy of Assetto Corsa, keyboard, console controller, or steering wheel it's all fine. Today we are going to focus on getting you on the online track (for the first time) and giving you a great experience and making you a better driver.

Make sure to be on time for the extended practice session and have teamspeak installed and be with us for the full length of the event. This is the longest session of almost an hour to get familiar with the car and the track. That's right, you don't need to practice offline first. You can come by fully unprepared

After practice we move to qualification to decide the racing order and do a short fun race of only 30 minutes so everybody can return to their wives, girlfriends, mom in time.

All premium members using their full Real Name in the forum, race servers and teamspeak can sign up for this event and we have unlimited slots available so make sure to bring a friend. Sign up below and make sure to tag fellow community members who you think are up for a challenge!

A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.

Golden Rule

1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.

Track limits

1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
   You will be penalized if you break our rules

I'm a bit lost with the default setup , since all the info I can find related to this car on this track is always with an specific setup that makes everything better (that gearbox you know?). Any ideas on the expected time per lap ? I wanna know how off I'm gonna be since today I got some time to practice hard before the event.

We don't talk about lap times in the event threads since the club events, especially the social ones, aren't meant for serious competition but as a nice coming together. Of course everyone is still doing his best!
I can tell you that the default setup is very good, that's why it's locked. Of course there might be some time laying around due to setup but not that much.
If you practice and feel fast and consistent you will definitely have some fun during the race, no matter the actual position

Quick question for any tech minded people... @RasmusP or @Neilski ahead of tonight... I've had huge problems with Teamspeak and/or my headset, every sound comes through, like it's hugely amplified!

Have changed to 'push to talk' (so will be OK for tonight!!) reduced all volumes as much as I can, but still trying to figure out the problem.... tried voice activation in 'capture' settings but have to turn it up so high to stop the problem, no-one can hear me.

Also, how do you see Teamspeak pokes/notifications in-game? I can get the game to run in a window but as soon as the driving starts the taskbar won't show.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, though thanks in advance for any help/suggestions

Difficult to answer with a single message but I'll give you some input:
- Maybe this is too high for your microphone? (mine is a studio thing so 100% is fine but other mics need something like 20-30% depending on the distance etc.)

Or it might be this: (it's a nice feature to make your voice level nice for everyone but beware, when your mic goes active but you don't give it input, it will boost the volume! When you then start to speak we will all get a massive, clipping peak before your mic volume gets reduced again)

In general I would recommend to lower your level in the sound device settings and use the automatic voice gain control to get it to a "good level" again. If everyone would do this we would experience way fewer uneven volumes or clipping. If someone has the "peaks" described above too frequently he should not use it of course!

Teamspeak overlay:
I use TSNotifier which works like a charm! Giving you a nice list of everyone in your channel in the top right corner (my config). When someone speaks the name gets coloured. But the installation and configuration is a little tricky although done very quickly if you know how to. I would suggest we hook up in TS and get it done together.
