Time for Graduation. This will be the last time we use the BMW 235i for Tuesday night races for a while. She served us well, but it's time to move on. What's up next you ask? You'll see in next weeks post. In the meantime, for our final test we are going to the..... Nordschleife. Strap in, shut up and just do it:D This is one case where it's you against the track. Win that battle and you'll place high in the results. You'll be provided with practice server RaceDepartment.com US BMW 235 Practice #39 for the entire week to prepare.

A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Looks like I'm good to go for this one, hands seem to remember the track even if I don't..

Edit: having said that I'm getting patches of bad FPS starting on the second lap - this is a wierd one.
I'll sign you up, but on the FPS front, I have no clue. Maybe it's related to your replay settings???? Other than that, it'll take some of these experts to help you out.

I turned my replay setting down, didn't really help. Emptying the replay directory did help marginally, but there's still patches of awful fps in really awkward places like the final chicane :p I can probably drive regardless - it's not like the screen freezes, it just kills my reaction time - but it's not exactly confidence inspiring! got a few more things to try anyway.

Is it going around curves then? If it is, there are some differing opinions and write ups on the net about it.

The only thing I can compare it to is old games which didn't preload the environment ahead properly, so you got fps drops while it did that. The other thing would be something spamming the logfile, but it's just got some very occasional complaints from FFBClip in there ( and I've been using that for months now ).

Richard does it make a difference if you run on different tracks or is it specific to the Nurburgring?
