AC Social Event: BMW 235i @ Brands Hatch GP - Mon 30OCT17

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
BMW 235i Racing on Thomson Rd.jpg

Time for more horsepower. We will be using the BMW 235i for our Social events. There aren't many adjustments to be done so we will be leaving the setups open for you to tweak. Don't know how? Just ask one of our guys or I during practice and we'll do our best to get you hooked up.

Wait? What is this?

For this event you need absolutely nothing special. A copy of Assetto Corsa, keyboard, console controller, or steering wheel it's all fine. Today we are going to focus on getting you on the online track (for the first time) and giving you a great experience and making you a better driver.

Make sure to be on time for the extended practice session and have teamspeak installed and be with us for the full length of the event. This is the longest session of almost an hour to get familiar with the car and the track. That's right, you don't need to practice offline first. You can come by fully unprepared

After practice we move to qualification to decide the racing order and do a short fun race of only 30 minutes so everybody can return to their wives, girlfriends, mom in time.

A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Hi @Brewer - the time zones look a little wonky. EST & GMT should be five hours apart, no? (That's without having to get into how all the upcoming daylight saving changes kick in, since they don't affect that.)
Neil, thanks for checking, but to answer your question:

*Note that daylight savings are active. 20:00 EDT = 00:00 GMT = 10:00 AEDT

Edited: Now if something changes because of time dropping back an hour we'll see. I don't know why in the world we can't just leave clocks alone:cautious:

Oh glorious Convict you've been added:D BTW, Zee Overlord is feeling quite inadequate today and needs some help. I think I have the time in AEDT correct. Can you confirm for me so I don't mislead others. Thanks man.
It looks right to me mate, below is a chart to help in the future :D

During Daylight Saving Time (first Sunday in October – first Sunday in April)
Time zone State or territory City
Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) Queensland Brisbane

Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) New South Wales (except Broken Hill), Victoria, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Canberra

Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT) South Australia and the town of Broken Hill in western New South Wales Adelaide, Broken Hill

Australian Central Standard Time (ACST) Northern Territory Darwin

Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) Western Australia Perth

Where Daylight saving is observed:
AEDT is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 11 hours (UTC +11).
ACDT is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 10.5 hours (UTC +10.5)
