Site & Forum Update Announcements

You have two new sidebar tools now.

One is the "People You Follow Online Now" widget, which shows the general site member stats, but only the list of your "Followed" people, which are your forum friends.

To Follow/Unfollow a person, click on his name or avatar and select Follow/Unfollow in the popup menu.

The other one is a one-click access to all the clubs and leagues, for easier navigation.

Hope you like them.

We have implemented an online event planner in the website and forums. You can now quickly see which online races are scheduled and one click brings you to the forums to sign up for it.

You can find it in the navigation bar of the site - called Online Racing - and in the right column of the website the next online races are scheduled.

Club races = Blue
League races = Red

We have made a small modifcation to some of our forums that work with prefixes (e.g. racing clubs, some leagues, motorsport forums). With one click of your mouse you can now quickly filter the category that you wish to see.

The prefix buttons are listed above the content (see screenshot) below. Should make navigation easier in some forums.

Our XenForo forum has a build in notification system as you probably have seen. If your posts gets quoted you will receive a notification of that event. If you receive a "like" from another user for making a great post you will also be notified.

However it was not possible to mention another user in your posts and let them know you are talking about him or her. Therefor a lot of discussions end because the users involved no longer keep track of the thread.

Thats now fixed. We now have a system in place that allows you to tag another user by more or less using the Twitter & Facebook method. No longer do threads need to be poluted with unnecessary quotations, just tag like you do on your social media platforms.

Simply ad an @ syntax symbol followed by the username and they will receive a notification. Of course only use this feature when needed and don't not abuse it.

RaceDepartment.com <----- You've been tagged! :)

We'll use it for now as test and when its proven to be successful we'll keep it.
