Sim Labs integrated monitor mount question

Just got the P1-X and mounted the Samsung 49” ultrawide to the integrated mount, but I’m finding it’s very low and nearly touching the DD1 base. Both arms are the highest possible in the side rails, so there’s no more to be done there.

I noticed that if I were to flip the vesa mounting plate from hanging down (as shown in their schematics) sitting up, I’d end up getting a couple inches extra of clearance.

Has anyone done this? I’m concerned about the increased stress on the vesa plate having it in the air as opposed to hanging down off the profile.

Yeah I flipped mine for my triples for same reason.

Why would flipping it create increased stress?

Same. This also helps with installation because the VESA screws are not blocked by the aluminum profile when the plates are facing upright.

Ok thank you everyone. I installed it in the flipped configuration. Just wanted to be sure it wasn’t going to be disastrous later on.
