Show Us Your Custom Fusca!

IMG_7330.jpeg

Here's mine. I painted it, put the "Scat" sun shade on the windshield, replaced the water temperature gauge (Really, Reiza? A water temperature gauge for an air-cooled engine?) with a volt gauge, installed Pirelli Cintauro P1 radials, stripped out the non-essentials for a 30 kg weight reduction, and gave it the Scat makeover, boosting it to 160 hp. Oh, and I installed a pit speed limiter.

You could make a hobby out of customizing the Fusca in AMS1. I've customized the Gol, GolHC, and the FuscaHC as well. AMS1 could probably be revamped into a street rod sim.

So, do you have a customized Fusca? If so, let's see! :D

Of course, if you don't go for the unusual custom paint, the Beetle (Fusca) was available in exactly one-hundred different colors over the course of its long history. Not all at the same time, of course. Colors such as...

Clementine, available in 1970 and 1971.

Shantung Yellow, available in 1971.

VW Blue, available from 1966 to 1968.

Savanna Beige, available from 1967 to 1970.

I've only got ninety-six more skins to paint. :D

Beetle Ecuador.jpg

My latest iteration of 1967 "VW Blue", a Volkswagen factory color available on the Type 1 from 1966 to 1968. The scenery is Ecuador. The car has custom rims. I haven't figured out how to give it the stock Volkswagen rims that are available on the Formula Vee, but I'm looking at the problem.

The interior is "Platinum" and "Cumulus White", which would have been correct interior colors with "VW Blue" in 1967.

I think I'll keep this one.
