INFORMATION & BASIC RULES

  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake slower cars. When a faster car is overtaking a slower car (in a different class), whether a blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not, the slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so. If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class then the same rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake. Please be sensible.
  • All of the standard Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.
  • You do not need to nominate which car you will drive, but should specify in which class you would like to drive when signing up.

SERVER IS UP!

The weather forecast currently promises snow! Does that mean we are potentially facing rain with the 25 degree temperature upgrade Ole provides us with? Would be cool .

Gte please.. nearly missed this, has the event page become a mess including other sims for everyone else?

It's an effort to try to highlight more of the racing we do at RD, as the racing club tended to be hidden down in the sub-forums (so rF2 was pretty far down).

I am honestly slightly unsure about this. I plan to set up the server tomorrow, but we have to wait for a snow-day to see if the weather app recognizes it as "wet stuff from the skies" or if snow = "doesn't exist" and it's dry. Looks like we'll know on Tuesday or Wednesday :)
But yes, it should be that way!

I see.. however making it harder to find races, adding more clicks and scrolling is a real put off..

I simply dont care for ac acc raceroom etc im sure players of them sims dont care for rf2 either

Not really Colin, its one click. Go to Racing Club and look for the right color concerning the sim you're interested in. I dont see why that is worse than the old system where you manually had to navigate through several forums and sub-forums to get to where you wanted, especially if you're interested in several sims like me.
A filter would be nice though, but not needed imo.

You can click on the blue rf2 sign and it will add a filter for that sim. That's added to the URL so it'll survive when you bookmark the page https://www.racedepartment.com/forums/racing-club.671/?prefix_id=254
