Running AMS on an offline PC

Hi guys hopefully this is a simple question. I currently don't have an internet connection on my sim rig pc at home however i have access to internet in my office. I am keen on updating from GSCE to AMS. Can i purchase it on steam in my office and transfer all the files to my sim rig pc ? And do the same when a new update becomes available or is there an internet connection check prior to running AMS that will stop me from running at home. From memory this was able to be done with GSCE ? i have steam on my sim pc however it will need updating..

I'm not sure, hopefully someone from Reiza can answer you.
But one way round it might be to set up your pc (just the case) at work if allowed, download the game from steam, set it to run offline, and then take your pc back home.

But i think he must set his pc in sleep mode/idle state, in german "Ruhezustand" (after download/install from steam), not a real shutdown, then he will connect again before u can click offline mode. (Win_7)
Better u "shutdown" your pc in sleepmode/idle state until u have a connection again, safest procedure, or u lost the login data from your cache, need it for offline play.

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
