rFactor 2 / Freeze issue

I’m having issue with not exactly freeze but, I can start a race or practice session, but if I quit to setup a car or anything else, I can’t select anything. Only the time above continue counting down.

Restart the game and go to the track, drive a little bit, press Esc key and, again. Same issue. Ah, replay works but can’t click anything too.

I don’t know how to solve it.

Need help… ;(

I'm not fully understanding your issue, I agree there is a problem, I just don't know what it is. So my first suggestion is a shot in the dark. Try pressing the DEL key. That is the default key for toggling the cursor visibility.

The cursor works properly.
Is not a freeze exactly because I can move the cursor but can’t click anything. the drivers table still moving, the remaining time that keeps counting the regressive time also works.
And maybe, the issue starts after I installed simhub. But even not open simhub to use overlays the issue continues.

Trying to ALT TAB probably doesn't help. The only way to isolate if it is Simhub would be to remove Simhub and restart rF2. If the menus then function normally, you have identified the cause...but not the cure. For SimHub to work, you have to use one of the two Windows options in the graphic config tool correct?. So again, another guess. Try using the other Windows graphic option before you launch rF2.

If you are not a online player you can choose v1132 from the beta tab. The AI seem to be better in v1132. And it disables that "authenticating" stuff.

You will not be able to race online though. (unless your friends are using the same version of rF2. )

I would have a few other ideas. The cursor working but can't click on anything usually means you are not running default resolution because somehow scaling or maybe swapping between different monitors or something similar I think can cause rF2 to go wacky.
IE: Where you have to click slightly left of all buttons for them to work.
Also seen this in other gmotor sims.

Actually it just happened to me swapping monitors when I clicked on single player it started online instead. Move the mouse to the left of single player highlights it and works and all other tabs from then on are offset as you will.

When you select correct resolution and refresh rate in graphics the buttons will work properly.
I use GME config mods to fix this in 2 clicks ;) Very handy for anyone uses multiple resolutions.

So reinstalling rF2 simply resets config.ini, when it first boots it will set your default monitor resolution and rF2 UI would work normally. Most likely all you needed to do was delete the.ini
and restart it.

edit:
Also with some HD TV can cause effect when they reset to 30Hz from 60Hz.
My 2024 Neo QLED does same thing when I jumping monitors and dragging windows
it can reset from 144Hz to 60Hz.
I will notice this straight away because something is acting clunky or not right.

Since I matched refresh rates with the 2 monitors been much better experience.
