rFactor 1 install?

Dear all, I have a number of installs for rFactor 1 and tried to do another clean install for a particular mod the other day.

It didn't seem to work using the old install files although the previous installs are still working. Is rFactor only accessible via Steam now and do previous licences not count?

rf1 is still working no need to use steam

If you do a clean install, I have not been able to get ISI to respond for this same issue of token requests.
