Thank you, a track from my childhood, one of my favorites from GT2. Looks nice, but I ran into some problems:
1- low frame rate (solved by disabling the extension folder) looks about the same, but the FPS increase is almost doubled.
2- flickering of areas on the asphalt, in places where there are black tire marks (these black areas flicker), in other places this is not the case.
3 - in general, a strange feeling of oversharpening, as if I had turned the sharpness on the monitor to maximum.

Hello thank you for this mythic circuit, but it doesn't work, I get the message: "track not found"!!!??? what to do. Thanks in advance
Check that the folder "redrockvalley" is located in your AC tracks folder. Also, check that all the files from the ".zip" are in your own "redrockvalley" folder.

Last option, check that you have enabled Shaders Patch.

For 1, I guess there are many FX that decrease FPS, but also some parts like the pits that are a bit overcharged with mesh and textures, so I will release another version with the blinds of the pits closed.
For 2, could you send me a capture? Because I know if you look from a long distance it's normal that some textures that are close each other cause a flickering effect. But since it doesn't happen to me it's a way hard to know where.
For 3, no idea, I know Nvidia have some configuration that sharpens your image while playing.

It’s not so noticeable in the video (because YouTube cuts down the quality of the video), but you can see how the “rubberized” places on the track flicker, and the side white stripe also flickers.
I was watching the video many times and trying different cars, but none of those tries gave me a clear hint about your problem. Also after watching it, I was thinking that all the materials in track that you are showing me and that are in "alpha blend" mode, have the same problem. So I don't really know if it's a problem with your GPU or just an adjustment in the graphics, or something weird with the game, or just a bad compression of GIMP related to the mipmaps.

I get a similar issue, the tarmac is extremely black and seems like flowing ink? And in the tunnel the lights don't work? It seems like my car is forever in darkness till i get out of it

Other than that, this tracks fkn awesome, feeling very nostalgic

Loved the track great quality! But it's not for my system (RTX3080 / Ryzen 7 5800X3D / 32GB), my fps dropped from 60 to 40. Even deleting the extension folder the track it's still heavy.

I also have the black flowy issues with turns 2 and 3.Super dark,sometimes reflective of the background.
Overclocked 4070 in 4K and still had dips into the low 40s framerate.
I am sure it will get sorted out...the track is incredible!I was in love by turn 1.(never played the original game)

Would love for it to work, but I get "Track Not Found" error when loading the track through Content Manager, any idea what I might be doing wrong? I'm running Assetto Corsa with no mods.

Thank you, performance has improved a lot, even without disabling the extension folder, everything is fine with FPS. It’s still night in the tunnel, and the headlights don’t work there. There is still a flicker in areas with rubber marks from the wheels, but it has become less noticeable.

@Kuwaku17 try this addition to the config to stop the mountains bleaching in sunlight:

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
DESCRIPTION=stop mountains bleaching in sunlight
ACTIVE = 1
MESHES = nbkgmesh
PROP_...=ksDiffuse, 0.07

Also, in the texture folder copy FLAGSM.DDS and rename the copy to altFLAGSM.DDS (make sure you copy it first and not just rename the original).
All three DDSes are needed for all of the GT-themed flag textures to appear, it's just the janky way I originally set them up when creating the GT flags. Note to self: tidy it up at source one of these days.

As others have said, it'd be good if the tunnel wasn't so dark (although headlights do seem to work in there for me, albeit weakly).

First of: Amazing Mod! I'm really enjoying it. I never played GT2 but I always wanted to try it. So I'm very grateful for your adaption!

Sadly I also have to report the Bug with the black or see-through tire marks at T2 and T3.

But anyway! def. a 5/5 Track :D
