Realfeel problem

I've read many threads of this plugin and tutorials, but I can't solve my problem now at all.
So the problem is that when I'm in my car (gt3 mod) in garage, ready to go, not moving, stationary,
my wheel goes from left to right itself. I have Fanatec CSL elite wheel ps4edition.

In Wheel settings are 270dg, 100ffb, drifr -5, FEI 0, FOR 50, SPR off, DPR off.
In game I have ffb strenght 100% and effects low. I don't understand those jolts and magnitudes and steering dampers etc. I have them where they were. I have tried realfeel plugins forces from north to south and no help. No realfeel and nothing is felt. Tried to set caster angle..no help. Tried to set leo bodnar wheel weight lower. No help..
Wheel just can't stay straight. It goes full right and then full left and vice versa again till the end of time. Any help is welcome and apreciated.

Been a while since I used RealFeel, eventually gave up on it for just these types of issues. The wheel oscillating like that is one of the settings is too high, though I don't recall which. And playing with castor setting often causes issues. The best solution is to completely remove RealFeel, run the sim for a while, adjust the basic steering functions to your liking, then reinstall RealFeel. Over time the RealFeel cfg becomes overblown with duplicate entries, conflicting entries, and sometimes just gibberish.

A couple of years ago someone here investigated the dll and noted it "accessed things it had no business tweaking". Overall its effect is great for some cars, negligible for others, and even detrimental to some.

Ok, thanks!
I tried enduracers mod with this same realfeel and leo bodnar plugin and tweaked it like in some guide here in Forums. It was awesome with it, prototypes, gt's and gte's all played like it should. Wheel was "heavy" when car is stationary. If turned to left, it stayed there. "bodnar effect" worked like it should and when driving fast wheel felt very good. Only thing I need to adjust is that when on curb it should "pull the tire" little. Now it doesn't at all.
But in GT3 ultimate mod realfeel was pain, like I explained. I removed it like you hinted and today I'll try it how it works. I'll get there hopefully.
That dll thing is concerning though if it's really doing something weird.

Just my 2 cents, please note that I am using RFP 0.936 it in GTR2 and I do not use Leo plugin.

If you have strong move left or right, this might be sign mismatch somewhere.

If you talk about oscillations, yes, I get them too and I counter them by doing 2 things:

* I add more friction/damper in controller profile in game.
* I add Natural Damper/Friction in Fanatec Wheel settings.

Yes, this will hide "details", but to me realistic stationary/low speed FFB is higher priority.

Lastly, you could reduce forces, specifically Kf force that causes stationary friction and can cause oscillations.

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
