RealFeel for OSW

Hi all,

Recently got back into AMS1 and loving it - such an underrated sim.

Quick question, I've seen a few posts from a few years ago when RealFeel came out that Neils had/was creating a RealFeel file for OSW users - particularly due to maxforce was toned down for smaller 'consumer' wheels.

Has anyone got a copy of this, or has one they have created themselves and wants to share?

Cheers!

Firstly I would say copy your original file as a back up. Then go into game test the car you want to edit. See what you want changed. The main parameter I've seen that helps the most is the MaxForceAtSteeringRack.

What you need to do is adjust this for that chosen car, find that entry in the file, it'll be fairly obvious which car is which, if it's not then find the .veh file of that car in the gamedata/vehicles/CHOSEN CAR YOUR TESTING, say for example it's the F_V10 then what I had to do was increase this setting. That'll make the wheel less likely to clip and give more feedback. The lower you go with this number the heavier and quicker to clip the car will be/will feel. So I would start off upping that figure by 500's, I also turn down the smoothening too as I find it picks up now detail. But if you do lower smoothening know you'll most likely have to up the original MFSR parameter more as they'll be more noise on the wheel. It can be tedious, but I've made the switch recently from T300 to CSW 2.5 so am going through and testing all cars and find tuning myself. This allows me to keep the in game settings set at 80% ffb and 30lfb.
