What is this?

This is the RaceDepartment Super Touring League Matchmaking thread. In this thread teams that are looking for drivers and drivers that are looking for a team can find each other by making a post.

RDSTL S1 - Absences

What is this?

This is the Absence thread of the RaceDepartment Super Touring League. Here team owners can report when one or both of their cars aren't going to enter one of the races.

Considerations

Only report absent when you run out of options! Try the Matchmaking for Teams & Drivers thread before you call in absent.

A team should always try to enter both their cars. If the regular drivers cannot driver it is the duty of a team owner to see if he can get them replaced either temporarily or permanent. Keep in mind that it is in the interest of the team to enter both cars in each race so they have a good chance of scoring points and stay out of the relegation zone of the league!

Teams that often call in on of their cars as absent will eventually lose their right to start and find themselves replaced with other teams.

The Zhuhai 200

Welcome to the first round of the RaceDepartment Super Touring League Season 1. Lots of preparation have been made and now the date of the season opener draws near. The staff welcomes all new teams and drivers and of course the familiar faces as well. We hope that this will be a good first season with fair, spectacular and fun races and we hope that both the teams and drivers are willing to support that in their actions.

Below you can find the information for the first round of the championship. Read it carefully!

Event: Zhuhai 200
Track:Zhuhai GP 04 (download)
Qualification: 19.30 GMT - 10 minutes (private superpole)
Warm-up: 19.40 GMT - 20 minutes
Race: 20.00 GMT - 48 laps (1 formation lap + 47 race laps)
Start procedure: manual formation lap (see article 5.6 of the League Regulations)
Weather forecast: Dry (standard weather)

We have received the new installation files for the RD GPCOS, which means our league managent system will be running shortly. Hopefully we can fix this before the first race, but possibly the results will be delayed a bit. As soon the system is running the team owners will be contacted to enter their teams into the system and the drivers will be asked to create accounts for themselves.

The field stretches as the drivers approach the season's first turn...

But that all happens way behind Peter Duivelaar, who takes the checkered flag and wins the Zhuhai 200!

Division 2

The engines roar as the Division 2 drivers inpatiently wait for their formation lap to start.

Hampus Jansson finds his heart freezing as Dave Gardner loses control of his Lacetti.

Philip Antonia regains the lead and goes straight for victory. Johan Barlatier would finish third.

Antonia claims victory in the second Division with a comfortable gap to the runner up.

What is this?

This is the RDSTL Liveries & Painting thread. Here you will find all the information you require to produce your car liveries for the league. Read it carefully as all liveries that will not meet the requirements will be refused. It's the responsibility of the team owner to produce the livery package before the deadline.

Deadline

All livery packages must be submited at the latest August 15th 2009. All packages submitted after that date might nto be considered which means the exclusion of the team from this season.

NOTE: The Chevy Lacetti have 2 body filesm, so make sure it's there. All other files will be deleted, that means: the helmet, body suits and numberplate files are not to be included in the livery package.

4) Body file

All .dds body files must be saved in DXT1 and must be in default resolution (1024x2048) and contain all the league logos in their original size, locations and appearance. Everything else is up to your discration, but must obey RD rules.

5) Windows file

All .dds windows file must be saved in DXT5 with 6 mipmaps for the exterior windows and in DXT5 with 0 mipmaps for the interior windows and must be in default resolution. If you include interior windows in you package make sure they are working. If they don't work properly they will be removed.

6) Ingame flags

All ingame flags must be in Evo style, either its a country flag or a custom flag, they must be saved in tga format and in 32 bits. the resolutin for each flags must be the following.

RDSTL Skinpack

It's the responsability of the team owner to make sure each of his drivers ( regular and reserve drivers ) to get the and install the RDSTL skinpack before the first race of the season. The skinpack will be released on August 25th 2009 via this thread.

Introduction
Welcome to the RaceDepartment Super Touring League, the competition with the fastest touring cars in GTR Evolution. This league has come to replace the RDTCC and RDGTC of last season and merge them into one. It combines the speed of GT cars with the close racing of touring cars in a series of races of varying length.

3) 3 October 2009 - Oschersleben 150 – 41 laps at Oschersleben 06
4) 24 October 2009 - Estoril 200 – 48 laps at Estoril
5) 7 November 2009 - Brands Hatch 150 – 41 laps at Brands Hatch 07
6) 21 November 2009 - Istanbul 200 – 48 laps at Instanbul 06
7) 5 December 2009 - Nürburgring 250 – 49 laps at Nürburgring GP
All races are +1 Formation Lap (e.g. the Zhuhai 200 is 47 race laps +1 formation lap)!

Session Info
Qualification: 19.30 GMT - 10 Minutes – Private Superpole
Warm-up: 19.40 GMT – 20 Minutes
Race: 20.00 GMT – 150, 200, or 250 Kilometer

The race has a Manual Formation Lap and a Rolling Start.

NOTE: The staff has decided to NOT change the starting time of the event after the shifting of Daylight Savin Time from the northern to the souther hemisphere. This means that for nearly all drivers the races will have a different starting time than before!

Teams
The Team Owner must sign up a team with at least two drivers. He may add two additional drivers to act as reserves or replacements during the season. A team can use a maximum of four (4) drivers per season. Each team should try to have replacements in case one of the regular drivers calls in absent for a race. A team is expected to enter both their cars in each race, regardless of such absences.

Every team that is entered by a Team Owner before the deadline will be considered by the staff. The staff decides whether a team enters Division 1, Division 2 (if any) or the Reserve List (if any). Reserves may also be entered later in the season, but the satff must always be made aware of this before the reserve goes behind the wheel.

Anyone can become a Team Owner by saying he is one, creating a team, finding driver for it and signing it up.

Liveries
Each team has to provide its own liveries. It is the responsibility of the Team Owner to make sure the liveries are delivered in time.
Please read the instructions in the Liveries & Painting thread before delivering the livery.

Promotion & Relegation
In case the number of team entries is large enough for a second room a second Division will be created for the league. When the season ends the top three teams of Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1, while the bottom three teams of Division 1 relegate to Division 2 for the next season. In case a Division 1 team that did not relegate, decides not to enter the next season more teams from Division 2 will be promoted. Any new team that enters after season 1 will automatically enter Division 2 (if a second division is present).

For Season 1 the Race Staff will divide the teams over both divisions (if two divisions are present). About the outcome there can be no communication with the Race Staff.

The forums are open!
The RaceDepartment Super Touring League forums have opened. You can now read and disucss the upcoming first season of this league. Take a look and see if it suits you.

Entry list to open soon
The forums are open, but the entry list is not. In the course of the week, when the last few changes have been made to the forum text, the league will be open to enter. Team owners can then sign up their teams for the league.

RD GPCOS cannot be used yet
The standings and results go through RD GPCOS, however, it cannot be used yet. Thes staff will reorganise the webpage of RD GPCOS to ready it for the new season.
