A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. You will get 2 warnings before a 10 second penalty for exceeding track limits to your advantage. Any warnings/penalties are displayed in the chat window at the end of each lap.
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Video guide to multiclass racing - Click here
  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake cars in slower class. (Blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not) The slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so. LMP1 should have, at a minimum, full overlap with a GT car before the corner apex.
  • If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class, the normal blue flags gentleman's rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake, usually a slight lift at the start of a straight. Please be sensible.
  • Separate qualification runs will happen for LMP1 and GTE classes. First 10 minutes for LMP1, second 10 minutes for GTE. GTE cars must not exit the pit lane before 10 minutes have elapsed. LMP1 must not start a lap after 10 minutes have elapsed. You may be kicked from the server by race control if you ignore this rule.
  • Points/Penalty information - Click here
  • All other Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.
  • Discord is highly recommended for all club races. For multiclass it is particularly important.

I thought I might miss this one but it looks like I will be ok. Zero practice and I don't know the track so I will need to get up to speed quickly.

I'm glad as I already missed one round due to holidays.

This might help Doug. Position for the hairpin and the final 'hillclimb' are the tricky bits. Great track though :)

Pointless.
First very sorry to the Corvette I hit, luckily I did not actually knock you off.
So pleased for that. But I just misjudged my overtake. :( ( understandable but still unforgivable )
Second enjoyed chasing Richard, but it became pretty obvious that it was hopeless. The Toyota has full power for every long straight, so overtaking is impossible, then it has full power for 3/4 of the straight. If I catch up mid field I only have full power for 1/3rd of the straight.
And when my tires hit yellow I rely on cornering speed, the Toyota is much less effected as it just blasts away on every straight. And with only one fast corner in the whole circuit, this did not help.
After a while it got hopeless , so I just could not take any more . So early finish and had a Muller rice after as consolation.

That was me, Ernie and it was barely a tap as you got back to the racing line so didn't affect me.

I got a good start and made up several places in the first laps. Unfortunately my underlying pace was not great here so I gradually moved back again. I defended as best I could and at one point headed up a 4 car train. :)

I had a great battle in the first stint with Rob Denton. Good racing.

However I somehow was running out of fuel at 35 minutes when I should have had enough for 55 minutes. Pitted early and severely messed up. Added fuel but had to reverse out of the box and back in to acivate pit crew. What I didn't realise was I had accidentally switched to the super hard tyre and I spent the rest of the race wondering why I had no grip, cold tyres and was lapping 2+ seconds slower. I didn't know until Dave told me post race.

Thanks to all the racers, in all the battles I had no contact.

Thanks, Brian, for organising.

Congrats to the class winners and well done Brian on winning the LMP class with a round to go!
I know how Ernie feels, those Toyota's just disappeared on the straights so my strategy quickly changed from trying to hang onto Brian to a leisurely Sunday evening drive.
However ,strangely I did enjoy it, the Audi goes around corners like its on rails and it was fun managing the passes on the GTE's, hope I didn't get in anyone's way.

Thanks Brian for setting this series up, it's a shame we don't get more starters but hopefully we can run it again next year, maybe with some different LMP cars (normally aspirated possibly) and with a Muller Rice skin for Ernie! :D:D

Thanks to everyone for racing. A great experience once again.

Congrats to @Programmer_Rich for the lmp win. You managed the trafic on the last laps very well. Thought they would be my way to get a pass done!

Congrats to @Aksu for the GT win and well done to all the finishers!

Also, congrats on the championship, Brian!

Thanks Weston! Down to the final race between yourself and Aki with a possible draw on the cards after it all!! :geek::O_o:
