RaceRoom Racing Experience WTCR 2018 Released

RaceRoom Racing Experience has returned from maintenance with seven new cars available to purchase.. the 2018 FIA WTCR is here!

We've heard plenty about these new cars on the build up to release, and now finally we have the opportunity to take them out on the virtual circuits in RaceRoom Racing Experience. Featuring seven brands of car from VW, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Hyundai, Honda and Seat, the new WTCR pack comes with 25 liveries and can be purchased from the RaceRoom Racing Experience store for £13.34, or individual cars can be purchased separately for £3.55.

My debit card is crap but most importantly free to keep, the problem is that the minimum amount I can put in my account is USD 50. I have 16 bucks for the pack but not 50, at least not for now. So I'll have to wait.

Anyone else finding that the races aren't loading with the DLC cars or is it just me?

......possibly just you, as ive been thrashing it, but there may still be residual problems, like there usually is after an update, and also the servers may be getting battered.

I can confirm it works well as intended as far as my experience was 15 minutes ago

The servers likely can't cope with the high demand very well, everyone and their aunt is trying to race these.

Not too sure, I just went into mp and only found 5 or so WTCR servers and less than 100 people in mp.

I tested a few cars and they were pretty fun, they seem more stable than past WTCC cars with a little bit of lift off oversteer.

Tho I must ask.....who are they basing the driver animation after? Matt Neal or Stretch Armstrong ? LOL

I too would love to have an update every month during summer vacation when things arent yet finished and ready to be released.

The next 2-3 weeks are going to be rough until the next patch releases huh?

It runs on the main screen but has an odd black square over the screen in the LHS of the screen.

Both versions issue an error about 'texture not found or some such' as they start, and the VR one displays an error in the headset and just crashes !

Tried verifying all files in Steam, which worked ok. Not impressed.

I saw a couple guys on the steam forum with the same issue, id imagine its another of those fallout issues from a new patch/content insertion we always get from this game.

Bit annoying when I just paid 15 quid for a pack, and the game won't start any more !

no doubt, I agree, but its something that happens every time they have a patch or somesuch. sometimes people aren't affected, sometimes they are. youre unlucky this time I guess. I was when they did the overhaul of the GT3 class, I couldn't play for days, then it just fixed itself. annoying as I just bought all the new cars and at the time was only really using that class.

youll be lucky next time and not really care about the issue when others struggle. its one of those, like most issues with pc software, its never an issue till it happens to you personally....

that is by no means an attack, just stating fact. I myself have often thought, whilst reading peoples issues... "what they on about..? im fine...."
