Welcome to RaceDepartment's Racing Club for Project CARS! Project CARS can be played on various platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and we'd like to facilitate and encourage our members to post challenging casual events for members by members.

Platform Prefixes
We now use Prefixes (which you will be required to select when creating a new race (thread).

Setting up a race
First of all start with a plan. Post a thread not at the final moment before you want to race but open it a couple of days in advance. Official RD events are always scheduled a week in advance for the highest change on success.

Secondly order your threads properly and try to make it as simple as possible. Not everybody wants to read a wall of text with requirements. Keep it simple, easy and friend.

Contents of a racing club thread

• Select a prefix for your platform of choice.
• Thread Title: Car Class @ Track - Date
• Thread Content: Use the template that will be posted soon.

This weekend the ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race will be held on the infamous Nordschleife and we are going to steal their thunder by running the virtual 1-hour event one day early with GT3, GT4 and Renault Clio Cup classes.

All premium members can sign up for this event and we have unlimited slots available so make sure to bring a friend. Sign up below and make sure to tag fellow community members who you think are up for a challenge!

Practice: 18:00 GMT (30 minutes)
Qualifying: 18:30 GMT (30 minutes)
Race: 19:00 GMT (+/- 60 minutes)

Please read this part carefully.

• The server will most likely not show up for everyone by default.
• Once you are in the lobby go to the filter on the right side of your screen and type: RaceDepartment for the server name to find it
• Make sure to map a button for your headlights!!
• While on track we noticed some issues with the d-box of the cars. Don't slipstream into your opponents gearbox as that will unsettle their cars. Keep some safe distance while racing.

first time ever being part of a league race . hence why i purchase a premium account for this awesome website. just one question. it says 18GTM would that be around 2:00 PM EST? i live in the east coast of NA.

Just to clarify this isn't a league race but a casual racing club event

Club events are for casual racing only. It's not about the winning or losing but about having a good driving experience. This is the perfect environment for your daily races as there is no pressure involved. Fun is King.

Leagues races are more professional and points can be scored for the championship. There is also the pressure of running with some of the best drivers in the simracing community! This does not mean that you need to have alien speed to join our leagues. You will always find drivers of your level in every race.
