Marco Massarutto of Kunos Simulazioni has revealed some exciting news for fans looking forward to the new Porsche DLC. Massarutto has confirmed the first seven models to be released, and revealed the opening volume will be available for purchase October 25th for PC and slightly later for console, due to the usual console approvals process.

In other related news, Massarutto has confirmed approval from Steam has been granted to allow a 'Season Pass' deal, which will bring a 28% saving to players planning to purchase all three DLC packages. More information on the Season Pass, Porsche Vol. 1 DLC and the new update will be made available in the coming days.

Porsche Vol. 1 DLC Car List:
  • 911 Carrera S,
  • 935 Moby Dick
  • 918 Spyder
  • Cayman GT4 Clubsport
  • 718 Cayman S
  • 917/30
  • 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 1974

The Porsche Vol. 1 DLC package will retail for 6,99 Eur across all three platforms, however Kunos will shortly be offering the Season Pass DLC package, allowing players to pick up all three Porsche DLC volumes for 15 eur, a saving of 28% on the separate purchase price.

Massarutto has also confirmed that the upcoming update to version 1.9 of the game will include two free pieces of content, namely a 1960's version British Grand Prix venue Silverstone and the new Porsche Panamera G2 (image below).

Yeah, I understand... there are very few people on my list (3) but they've been really active this week as a group and some threads are a bit weird. (Like the one I'm following which was mod-edited to be "started" by one such poster using posts from a different thread, meaning now the thread I'm following is hidden from my view. Only pops up when I get a notification. Ghost thread! Spooky.)

Nevertheless, it does the job it's meant to do. Especially with the poster in question here, who isn't so much sharing dissenting opinions (which is not something I'd ignore a person for) as he is repeating a rote, negative mantra (which nobody needs for any reason.)

I'll take an honest harmless post here and there over your rambling any time.

Now give me that free car and bananas. I need my potassium.

From everything I've read the Cayman GT4 Clubsport raced for example since mid-2016 in British GT in GT4 class (under SRO, with teams like Nick Jones/Team Parker Racing) before the Manthey Racing package for SRO GT4 homologation even released so I don't think this is quite so clear cut. It might just be a case of virtual BoP (within limits of course) for the sim. In either case having another GT4-like car is good, they're a great 'entry' series.

Shame that we don't yet know which Panamera we will get. Hoping for the Turbo, would be a nice rival to the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Gallardo laptime wise. Awesome for a free car, especially when you compare it to the likes of Audi A1

Agreed, but if you look at the current sim lineup, we have no other option than rF2. I guess it is just out of the devs' priority list.

It is a hard thing to develop properly.
You obviously forget Project CARS
and somewhere in the future Project CARS 2

Ps. Clarification: Talking about proper RAIN in Simulations

You didn't read the news. Please check again page 1 to see that info and (not in game) picture of the Panamera.

What? 15 € for a DLC? Is a joke?
I already bought the game and all DLC, but I will not pay 15 € for a stupid DLC. When I bought the game were supposed that the game improve would be free.

15 for three DLC packs, that cost a lot of money do make. Name one single modern game that gives you everything for the main game price?
Games and all related content take a lot of people to make, those people have families that need to survive from their work. Do you work for free?

The news don't name the version of the car (Turbo, Turbo S, S, V6, Hybrid), just the generation.

Yeah, what you say it is reasonable, nobody would do a professional job without payment, and new content needed hours of work. What I said was just my first reaction, 15 € is not much money after all.

Not sure I understand this. You bought the game with all DLC yet you won't buy more DLC?
Improvements are always coming and will always be 'free' but the extra cars and tracks that are built to add variety to the title will be charged for to fund the license, creation and development of the extra additional content.

Plus regardless of this, those that don't want to buy the DLC or that cannot justify or afford to buy it are still covered as Kunos are giving free cars away too.
It's all good. Choices are there. ;)

If the Panamera is a rival to the 458 then the 911 Carrera S must be a rival to the LaFerrari and the street GT3 911 might be the fastest car ever created. /s
--------
The Panamera will likely be a rival for the BMW M4, the Cayman S will probably be somewhere around the Mustang's pace, and the 911 Carrera S should run neck and neck with the Corvette Stingray. (I base all of this simply on car specs)
Can't wait to fine out!
