A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. You will get 2 warnings before a drive through penalty for exceeding track limits to your advantage. Any warnings/penalties are displayed in the chat window at the end of each lap
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord and in game. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify who you are.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Video guide to multiclass racing - Click here
  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake cars in slower class. (Blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not) The slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so. LMP2 should have, at a minimum, full overlap with a GT car before the corner apex.
  • If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class, the normal blue flags gentleman's rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake, usually a slight lift at the start of a straight. Please be sensible.
  • Separate qualification runs will happen for LMP and GT classes. First 10 minutes for LMP, second 10 minutes for GT. GT cars must not exit the pit lane before 10 minutes have elapsed. LMP must not start a lap after 10 minutes have elapsed. You may be temporarily kicked from the server by race control if you ignore this rule.
  • All other Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.
  • Discord is highly recommended for all club races. For multiclass it is particularly important.

Brian, can you tell me how to find the correct tyre life and pressures.
Can you change the dash display, tried but not like the 992 ?
Nice car to drive, needs abs but not too bad without.
Looked in data.acd but all I got was something odd.

Not sure what would cause that ernie, maybe something on your custom csp setup.
Starting pressures are about 23LHS 24 RHS

Does it have a switchable dash? Not sure if it does or not.

This car has little need for ABS. Wait until you have tires figured out ;)

Cannot find out why Pro tyres does not show data, it is the same with the 992 as well. looked at CPS ??
Assuming you can , how do i find tyre life ???

Oh, I just us the standard kunos tyre app and guesstimate.
I made a load of notes, will check.

I see that for the porsche both online and off, no info protyres, but the LMP2, online protyres wasn't showing, but offline, in that car it worked fine. Not sure the reason? But if you want to set tire temps with protyres or get an idea of range, it works online in the LMP2

Looking forward to this one!

I have had a look at the data.acd file, normally you can look at the tyre.ini file. But for this mod it is random data, indescribable rubbish.
I can find optimal tyre pressure from this normally. But perhaps protyre is not capable of deciphering it all.

Tyres seem to wear pretty fast. Softs down below 90 % after 4 laps. Remains to be see if they will go the distance or not. I only took it out for short 3 - 5 lap stints.

protyres for the medium tires offline (only tire it gave readings for)

2 laps high grip
22 laps medium grip
47 laps low grip

with some room after low grip

So maybe more medium grip and more laps till low grip? Hards usually don't have more "high grip". Not sure why the tires allowed +data are changing online vs offline with softs, mediums, hards and rain. Online has softs and hards :coffee:

Tire data or not though, that LMP2 is quite a ride!

Signed up in the Merc (new BOP working well ), but looking at numbers right now, if it stays similarly prototype heavy I'm open to switching to the faster class :coffee: Any car around here is a treat. Up for whatever gets us lots of side by side racing :)

Ah man, I really wish I had the time to do these sunday GT-races, since I’m having so much fun driving the rss GT cars (mercer my fav for now), they feel great (haven’t tried the urd’s yet, are they good as well?). And road atlanta is a treat to drive, really cool. Anyway, I hope to join you guys in this gt(multi)class someday.

The mercer is up there in the top 5 GT cars i've driven. I would include RF2 ACC and AC in that. The balance and mid corner grip it has is something unique.

Maybe the best option at this point.
@Shed 17 and @dbx71 you guys fancy to switch to the prototype also?
Yeah honestly I was thinking to bail out because it was shaping up to be a blue flag festival for the 3 lonely gt3 cars and the modern prototype cars aren’t normally my cup of tea. Even though it’s a different class, it still gets demoralizing being lapped repeatedly by the much faster lmp cars.

Sure I suppose I can switch over to the prototype car though. I’ll try to get some practice in with it before the race. ..
