DiRT Rally Oculus Rift coming to DiRT Rally next week

On Monday 11th July the much anticipated support for Oculus Rift in DiRT Rally will be available for players to enjoy.

Virtual Reality is a perfect compliment for a rally game and DiRT Rally is arguably the finest current title from that genre available today, many will be highly delighted to see this new addition coming to the title and adding to the growing list of games featuring rift support in recent times.
To help those of us not fortunate enough to have access to Oculus, Codemasters have released the below rift preview video to give players an idea of how the game will feel in virtual reality.

The dev silence is pretty deafening, I guess they knew that such a massive update which only benefits a few % of DR users was going to generate a bit of whingeing.

The big problem seems to be that the devs chose to store all game data (sound, textures, models, code) in one giant .dat file.

So whenever there is a small update you have to re-download the whole thing. Feels like the early days of Skyrim all over again

Apparently you were talking about the PSVR. A little off topic since everyone was talking about Oculus and Dirt rally. That's what kind of threw me off when you said October 13th, thinking Oculus said they were shipping faster and October isn't faster.

Hopefully PS will ship when they say.

No worries. Sony a huge company, so no chance of them delaying
