Cars No Skin for Car Mod

Downloaded the Dodge Viper mod through Content Manager.
Loaded okay but car isn't in the game list. CM says there's no skin for the mod. Found a skin mod, but CM says there's no file to put it in.
New to all this and not a computer guy.
Any ideas?
