Reiza Studios physics engineer Niels Heusinkveld has released a nice tribute to the recently departed John Surtees, taking a spin in the 1960's era Formula Vintage around the historic Johannesburg circuit in Automobilista.
In a nice tribute to the recently passed former Grand Prix and motorcycle World Champion John Surtees, Niels Heusinkveld of Reiza Studios has dedicated his 26th Talk and Drive video to the British World Champion, as he takes out for a run his Automobilista Formula Vintage car that is based on the 1967 Formula One era machines.
As Surtees active Grand Prix driving career wound down the driver then became involved in team management, running his own Surtees team for a number of the top drivers of the day and remaining involved in many different forms of top level motorsport, including the incredible American Can-Am series for ultra powerful open top sports cars.
Surtees would go on to receive an OBE for his services to motorsport in the UK and his legacy continues with the Henry Surtees Foundation, set up in honour of his son who lost his life at the 2009 Formula 2 event at Brands Hatch.
A true British legend and a nice tribute from Heusinkveld.
