Kunos Simulazioni's Marco Massarutto has revealed three images of the upcoming new Group B Audi Quattro due to be added as a free item to Assetto Corsa in the near future.
With the recent news that Digital Bros have taken over ownership of Kunos Simulazioni it has been a busy time for the guys and girls over at the studio these last few weeks. With promises that everything will stay the same at the studio as development and content releases are due to continue for Assetto Corsa, Kunos Simulazioni’s Licensing Project Manager, Marco Massarutto has taken to his Facebook page to show off early images of the next two new pieces of free content to hit the game - a mystery Scottish fantasy track and the venerable Group B specification Audi Quattro rally car made famous by Hannu Mikkola and Walter Rohrl amongst others during the mid 1980's.
The fantasy Scottish track is already well known to fans of the game following Massarutto's reveal earlier this month, however perhaps of greater interest is the upcoming Quattro. A machine often found at the front of many National and International events 30 odd years ago, the Quattro was a game changing car during the era of Group B rallying globally. With performance in excess of 500hp across all four wheels, the Quattro both looks and sounds the part when out on track. With such brutal performance, the new, free, car from Kunos could well go down as an instant classic amongst fans of the title.
Of course no release date has yet been revealed by Kunos, however one would expect a new build update is already in the works and a release alongside the new build could well hit our game towards the end of February. Stay tuned to RaceDepartment for more news when it becomes available...
