Multiple download parts per mod

As there is a 500mb upload limit, is it possible to add multiple downloads buttons for only 1 mod thread.
By example, GTR2 HQ Anniversary Patch is much bigger than 1 year ago due to wipers artwork so I need 1Gb now : is it possible to add 2 download buttons (part1+part2) under a unique thread and also allow recognition of .001/.002 extension name.
If it is not possible then my last choice would be moddb which allows 2.8Gb mod upload but I'd rather stay at RD if I have the choice of course.
