Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

This week we are NOT going to Spa where the GT event will take place. With these cars, Spa will most likely be boring. That gives us the opportunity to visit a fictional but very nice circuit where we did a great fun event with the Fiat Pandas a while ago. Black Cat County Short is a circuit with many different curves and the track itself is very wide so many different lines are possible and overtaking will be easy.

So join us for another exciting race and:

Sign up here:

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities like overtaking and blue flag situations but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

All premium members can sign up for this event and slots are limited so make sure to tag a friend! This event will take place on the newly developed platform Simracing.GP and it's extremely easy to join!
Not a premium member yet but interested to race with our group of friendly drivers? Click here and here to learn how you can participate as well.

Server information:
  • Practice Server: #04 (Available throughout the race week)
  • Race server: S.GP
  • 20:00 CEST, 19:00 BST (19:00 UTC) | 1 hour 15 minutes - Official Practice
  • 21:20 CEST, 20:20 BST (20:20 UTC) | 20 minutes - Qualification (10 min TT, 10 min MX5)
  • 21:40 CEST, 20:40 BST (20:40 UTC) | 45 minutes - Race
IMPORTANT:
  • Qualify is split (not forced, gentleman's agreement). First 10min for the Audi's, second 10min for the MAZDA's. Don't go on track in the window of the other car class.
  • Blue Flags: If an MX5 driver gets a Blue Flag from an Audi, he has to stay on the racing line to be predictable. You can help the Audi by lifting on a straight, but you don't have to! The Audi driver is responsible for a safe overtake. Losing time doing this is part of the game and applies to any Audi. If you receive a blue flag from your own class, the normal rules apply.

Event details:
  • Cars: Audi TT Cup/Mazda MX5 Cup
  • Track: Black Cat County Short, USA
  • Pit stop: optional
  • Track Temps: 28C air/40C track
  • Track Condition: Clear
  • Track grip: starting 94% increasing to 100% after 20 minutes approximately

A message to all Drivers,

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium

Never really had driven this track beforer, but the Audi and it's fwd around those curves is pretty alright. Reminds me of Bathurst if it was 4 lanes wide lol

ps - this is my first premium race, do we need to join the discord voice chat, or any other voice chat during the race?
Thanks!

Hi Alfred,

Welcome to our events!
Although it isn't mandatory, it's highly recommended to use Discord so you can hear my latest information in the pre-race chat. And in these multiclass races the drivers use Discord to tell the lapping car at which side they want the overtake. That helps a lot to avoid incidents and also this way both cars will lose the least time in the overtake. And a third reason is the after race evalution chat.
It's best to install the Discord app because the browser version doesn't support push-to-talk.

Please make sure you have read all the info in the first and second post of this thread, especially the Golden Rule, the split qualification and the Blue flag handling.

See you on track!

Hi everyone,
I've just taken out a Premium membership so I can come and join some of your races, your times suit me better than the late night stuff. You should find I'm a clean and respectful racer, but that doesn't mean I'm a pushover either ;) but being clean is v important to me.
I've chosen the Mazda for tonight's race as I'm not a fan of FWD cars, but that is mainly because I don't know how to race them effectively and getting the best out of the configuration. see you out there... oops sorry that's Star Trek

sorry I had to withdraw but I clearly had a ping problem once all the cars were together. I am waiting for a line fault to be fixed but it hasn't caused an issue before tonight. Hope I didn't mess anyone's race up if so, humbly apologize.
btw @HF2000 I am already on Discord with other groups. Navigating to that channel if I try to join it I get a message telling me to Ask to Join.

Took delivery of my CSL DD this afternoon and perhaps should have got a bit more familiar with it before jumping into a race. I somehow managed to switch modes on the starting grid and in my panic switched it off and on again. Rather that 8nm of force I had none :( Tried driving for a few laps but it was pretty hopeless. Hopefully I wont do that again
