Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

The Track of the Month as chosen by you is Road America. We've been there a couple of times so it doesn't need much introduction. It's simply a great track, loved by many.

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

Hi Han, can you send me invite for the Emperor account. I might join tonight. I am an AMS2 Tuesday/Thursday/Friday veteran and would love to try out AC online. Have a great day and thanks a lot for your help. Cheers, Chris

This track takes me way,way back to when i first joined RD..It was RF1 and then onto HistorX..Taking the Ford Escort RS 1600 rear wheel drive around here is sublime and then even better the Alfa GTa 2000..Be great if we could create a 1 one-off with this combo one night????..:).:D.
Agree with that Allan:thumbsup:, RD America & Rd Atlanta, Willow Springs, Mid Ohio, VIR .... and loads more - N American tracks seem to have a special attraction compared to euro tracks (apart from Spa and a small few)

Don't worry. I've got 52 American tracks on my list for testing for the multiclass. So you can expect a fair amount of them to race on Wednesdays the next year(s).

And you can always choose one for the Track of the Month like Road America for May now.

Thanks Han:thumbsup:

Figured it's unfair of me to vote 'cos I can race so rarely Wednesday's - I'm a bit jealous though, you're putting on some real corkers!:)

@HF2000,
Could we maybe like Fat Alfie Tracks,do a little N-American Championship?? of some of the mentioned tracks,might be a nice little teaser to get @Medilloni from working as much..:sneaky:.:sneaky:.:D.:D
A North American championship? Why not? When I'm ready with testing I will see if I can come up with a nice mix of new NA tracks. For the tracks we already know (VIR, Atlanta, Laguna Seca etc..) there's the Track of the Month.

Hi Guys;
Just chiming in with my unsolicited two-cents. Couldn't resist because I really like the way this conversation is going.

A tour of N American tracks sounds like a pretty sweet idea indeed. You might even include Mosport track in Canada, but please skip Miami f1 track and COTA. Both flat, featureless and uninspiring IMO.

However, don't forget Laguna Seca (love-hate relationship with that one), and Mid Ohio, and one of my personal favorites, Watkins Glen. Road Atlanta is high on my growing list too...

Also, Allan's idea of using an older car sounds fantastic. Haven't tried driving the Alfa, or Ford Escort yet but that sounds like it could be a lot of fun. WRX or Singer Porsches are fun to drive, as is the Lola T70 Spyder. Just throwing out random ideas...

Agree with all this Dominic:thumbsup:, there's many reasons why I love N American tracks, but the most important one (imo) is that, taking away the last few years of 'manufactured for the show' tracks (US street tracks, Circuit of the Americas ffs:O_o:), is that US tracks were built to follow the land, whereas most modern eu (west eu anyway) tracks altered the land to fit the track.

For the UK for example, do you want to race on the undulations of Brands GP, Oulton Park, or the latest bacterization of Silverstone:(

So true!

Thanks Allan, the last 2 yrs of flu shite are taking some coming back from for us, 27yr retail business, so diff work times meant racing other places that I could fit in.

Really miss RD, but 3 races p wk (at odd hours) my body can only take so much:roflmao:

a little off topic, but i actually found this video to be pretty interesting. watched the other day while on treadmill. never was a huge fan of NASCAR but this video gave me a deeper appreciation. it is also fun to see how a european guy reacts to the experience.

this event would fall into the 'spectacle' category but looks like a hell of a show.
