Milestone Games have confirmed the next MotoGP title will release on the 7th June - promising a "complete reboot of the series".

Utilising the increasingly popular and somewhat spectacular Unreal 4 engine, MotoGP 18 is set to become the most ambitious and impressive official MotoGP racing game to date when it launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC later this year.

Using the powerful Unreal Engine 4 for the very first time, MotoGP 18 will also benefit from laserscanned circuits and looks set to be "re-designed and rebuilt up from the very basics", marking a very serious statement of intent from the development team behind this long running officially licenced franchise of bike racing games.

According to Lead Designer, Matteo Pezzotti, the upcoming new title has received plenty of love and attention over the last few months as Milestone look to break new ground with MotoGP 18:

“It will simply be the greatest and purest MotoGP™ experience for all the fans. This title marks the arrival of the series on the Unreal Engine, a leap forward in terms of technological innovation, ensuring enhancements in the visual quality, realistic and impressive lighting effects and completely reworked physics: the game faithfully reproduces all the distinctive behavior of the bikes, thereby reducing the gap between fiction and reality, while making it accessible also to casual gamers through the introduction of interactive riding aids and tutorials. More details about the technological features will be unveiled soon, but with all these new advancements our goal is to offer our fans the most realistic and immersive MotoGP™ experience.”
Initially releasing on PC, Xbox and PlayStation this June 7th, MotoGP 18 will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch platform at a as yet unspecified date later in the year, making the most of the flexibility of the Unreal 4 engine and cross platform development experience acquired during the design and build phase of the recent Supercross: The Game title.

-Outlap is back
-Mir is not holding the handlebar with both arms during the pit exit, which many riders do. So it adds to realism--Animations are mocap so much more realistic
-We get Tv-like graphics

I think the partnership with Dorna for the eSports will be benificial to the all of us. They pushed Milestone to improve a lot

thanks guys ehy jonix do you think that the helmet model see on the imagines of mir is new? or the same of last year?
Helmets models are old

That's the image you're talking about i'm sure. I really hope we get flag to flag, would be the only reason i would increase the race distance for more than 50% that i do now :)

EDIT: There's one more, so yeah there it is.

Or maybe wet tyres textures weren't ready at the time (that's an old screenshot).
The only reason I don't think we're getting it is that they would have advertised it alot..

Temperature, driving style, consumption. Take everything into consideration when picking your tyres. A wrong choice might cost you the first place!

waiting a gameplay video, i take some new sceenshots from steam page of the game,so jonix you are better than me to explain graphics improuvement, i have noticed that the rider positioning on the bike is different from rider to rider for example rossi si on bike little different from pedrosa

It seems so, but maybe that was the rider controlled by the player. When you release throttle or brake the game plays an animation (rider standing a bit up and widening elbows).

Rider models look different but I think they're the suit models. Rossi is very short and his body is different from Lorenzo's (probably because one is the Alpinestars model, the other is the Dainese).

Here a comparison :/

MYMm_Valentino%20Rossi_24.jpg

Rossi's butt is very weird, like in past games. That part of the body is too...small?

But anyway this isn't crucial. We need good AI and physics for now. All the details and further improvements can wait for the next year

In conclusion...hard to tell without a gameplay video

Here we can see that they made different fairings for Marquez and Pedrosa (they use different fairings in real life. This year Crutchlow has his own fairing as well)

EDIT
Also interesting: Marquez has the aero fairing in this race, Pedrosa doesn't.
