So how many of us here are model car collectors?

Ill get a few photo's up of my collection soon but really keen to see what other guys are interested in with motorsport / car collecting :D.

If there is already a thread for this please remove i couldn't find any from what i saw :D.

I love my Revell and Tamiya model kits... I have a whole shelf in my room dedicated to them, plus a couple of others.

In there you might spot:
-Audi R10 TDI [Revell]
-Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Convertible [Collectible model]
-Ferrari Testarossa (at least I think it's a Testarossa...?) [Diecast]
-Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger [Came with a magazine]
-Enzo Ferrari [Tamiya]
-Lancia Stratos WRC 1977 [Revell]
-Ferrari 458 [Diecast]
-BMW Sauber F1.06 [Revell]
-Subaru Impreza WRC [Plastic model kit, can't remember the brand]
And buried under that paper...
-Ferrari 248 F1 [Lego]

You might also see little objects resembling a Mini Cooper and Jaguar E-Type. These were attempts by a younger me at carving cars out of balsa wood. The less said about them, the better...

I'm excited I found this thread. I'll have to make you guys a list of all of mine, and maybe a few pictures of my glass cases. All 1:18's, generally all Autoart. Have the new Aston Martin LMP1 car (my profile picture car) on pre-order from Autoart. That was a nice $280 (Canadian) Christmas present from the GF after I bought her a nice tablet. I'm very excited and patiently waiting for that notice from Autoart saying they are shipping. In the mean time here's a little list from what I specifically remember:

AutoArt 1:18:
CADILLAC CTS-V SCCA WORLD CHALLENGE GT 2004 WINNER SEBRING ANGELALLI
PORSCHE 911(997) GT3 PROMO CUP CAR 2008 <--- (bought from the Porsche Museum, which is a big deal when your from Canada and have only been to Germany once)
ASTON MARTIN DBR9 SEBRING 2005 #57 BRABHAM / ORTELLI / TURNER

Hot Wheels 1:18:
Fernando Alonso Renault F1 (either R25 or R26, I'll have to check)

Norev 1:18:
Renault Megane Trophy 2009 #21 M. Verschuur
2010 Peugeot 908 HDI FAP #2

Kyosho 1:18:
Mercedes Benz CLK DTM AMG in white

Maisto Premiere 1:18:
Mercedes Benz 300 SLR Targa Florio 1955

Maisto 1:18:

Porsche Carrera GT
Porsche Carrera
Mercedes Benz SLS AMG

I probably have more, and I have a bunch of planes too but this list is already too long. I'll get some pictures in a few days to show you guys. I have alot of time and money invested into my collection right now. They look awesome in their glass cases too. Like I said, I'll get some pictures up.

Oh, man - where do I start? Since I was a little boy I have collected models, mostly the Matchbox and Majorette in 1:68. I think I must have somewhere between 200 and 300 of those now :D And as I have grown older and started to earn money myself I have increased the cars in the larger scales. After a quick count around in my room right now I find 44 models in 1:18, 28 models in 1:43, 7 models in 1:32, 3 models in 1:24 and 13 smaller models in different scales... And the collection is growing every few weeks :D

edit: Oh, and I forgot the rest of my 1:24 models that I have had to pack away into boxes because I have no more room for my models... Man, I could have become a millionaire just by selling my collection :p

I finally got my Christmas present today!!! Brand new AutoArt Aston Martin Lola (I'm sure you already know what it is)

Here's my pair of cases, you can guess what's what. Everything is 1:18.

Here's my other case with planes as well (again, obvious). The Mig at the bottom is a Franklin Mint 1:48, everything else 1:72 Hobbymaster. I can't remember who made the Sukoi though. Oh, and there's a little space shuttle I got at the Air and Space museum in Washington, D.C.

There's a Maisto Porsche Carrera and Mercedes Benz SLS-AMG on the bottom shelf.
