Mod cars with Reiza physics

I just wanted to ask whether it is possible to replace the physics (vehicle.hdv and so on) with those provided by reiza. So far i haven't found a successfull way to do this yet, either the car didn't show up or i wasn't working at all...

You sure can use Reiza physics in your mod. You just need to direct the cars to the physics in the veh file. The F1 2005 mod is a good example of how to do it. See the entries below in bold.

HDVehicle=F_V10\F_V10.hdv
Graphics=BAR.gen
Spinner=BAR_Spinner.gen
GenString=BAR03
Cameras=BAR_cams.cam
Sounds=F_V10\F_V10_sound.sfx
HeadPhysics=F_V10\F_V10_headphysics.ini

Cockpit=BAR_cockpitinfo.ini
Upgrades=BAR_Upgrades.ini

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
