Material used for some sim hardware - what is it?

Hi all, I recently bought some some MFG Crosswind rudder pedals for my flight sim cockpit sim. They are really good, solid and well made. When I first saw them I thought that they were anodised Aluminium, but a closer look shows that they are not, they appear to be a plastic or composite material. The parts are obviously CNC machined from thick sheets of whatever it is, and can see that it is an absolutely ideal material for all our home made kit in place of billet Aluminium or fabricated steel. It obviously can't be used everywhere, but I think it is worth experimenting with. I have a number of projects on the drawing board or ready to be made that would be ideal to try this on like my sequential shifter redesign.

Does anyone know what the material is, and what brand names it is sold under?

Cheers

Les
