Mapping Spotify Shortcuts to Steering wheel

I’ve successfully used simhub to map Spotify keyboard shortcuts to my steering wheel for next track/previous track and volume up/down, however there’s a catch.

… the keyboard shortcuts themselves don’t work once Assetto Corsa loads!

Does anybody know why windows system keyboard shortcuts stop working once AC is loaded? I’m so close and I’m sure it can be done with a little more tweaking.

Hi bro! Did you resolve it? I got a button box like a car cd radio and I'd like that the rotarys button turn up and down the volume of Spotify (only Spotify, not all Windows.
