Assetto Corsa Racing Club event

We have a new car for you guys to try out
the Lotus 2 Eleven GT4
While closely resembling its tamer brother at first glance, several obvious changes have been made to the 2-Eleven’s appearance, including aggressive aerodynamic enhancements, the addition of a tonneau cover and subsequent passenger seat deletion, a full roll cage, and an FIA-compliant carbon-fiber racing seat.
By tweaking the intake and exhaust systems, Lotus has managed to squeeze 266 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque out of the supercharged Toyota inline-four—some 14 horsepower and 4 lb-ft more than the 2-Eleven. Additionally, the GT4 Supersport has been fitted with a six-speed sequential gearbox, allowing for lightning-fast shifts without requiring any throttle lift from the driver—an important time-saver in any race application.

Wait? What is this?
For this event you need absolutely nothing special. A copy of Assetto Corsa, keyboard, console controller, or steering wheel it's all fine. Today we are going to focus on getting you on the online track (for the first time) and giving you a great experience and making you a better driver.

Make sure to be on time for the extended practice session and have teamspeak installed and be with us for the full length of the event. This is the longest session of almost an hour to get familiar with the car and the track. That's right, you don't need to practice offline first. You can come by fully unprepared

After practice we skip to qualification to decide the racing order and do a short fun race of only 30 minutes so everybody can return to their wives, girlfriends, mom in time.

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track, Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits Stay off the racing line until you are up to speed, do not race on your out lap. let other drivers by.
on re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed
and do not block any fast approaching car, you have made the mistake by going off remember, so let them by cleanly

Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not his fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Got to be in this one being my favourite track and im liking the car after a bit of taming its quite enjoyable to drive with tc off u can gain a few tenths with a bit of drift for tighter line out, so yeah im in thx.
Yeah I was noticing the same in terms of being able to oversteer your way through some of the corners and take a better line as a result, but my consistency at the moment is rubbish so played it safe with tc on so as not to spin ;)

The Lotus has 3 levels of TC level 1 being the highest setting and level 3 being the lowest.
ABS is either on (level 1) or off.

ABS on and TC off gives me a lovely drive with this car just need more time behind the wheel to learn the car and track but apart from that its real fun..
the initial grip from the tires goes away but then levels out, push to hard the tires turn to mush.. back of again and a lap later they seem good again..
Semi slicks on a GT4 car do seem a bit strange and i think Kunos should give us the option for some racing slicks on this car for sure..
A present its about 10 seconds a lap quicker than the mazda mx cup car and about a second or so slower that the Audi TT cup car. But a whole load more fun to drive. :)

Mmm, yeah. Admittedly I haven't done the homework and looked at what tyres are on the other GT4 cars in AC. Maybe it's some weird licensing thing.

It takes a lot more concentration to keep it on the road for sure! But the actual racing is perhaps closer in the MX5? (Due to mistakes etc. in the Lotus, I mean.) That was my first race in it so am still getting a feel.
