This tool is now a part of the latest Content Manager update btw. Obviously Ilja's implementation is far more advanced with smarter removal of objects, mesh-welding for lower object count and much more.

Not exactly this tool, you mean CM does now incorporate Simplygon, yes; CM has already the structure of the car and so its much easier than with batch files to separate stuff and do magic.

use the registration program simplygon provides, should be in tray

it might be they didn't expect much traffic and are restricting handouts of free licences? idk just a guess...

I solved with a license like this:
"install simplygon title evalutation license"
for the moment it works

Oh yeah, my bad, mixed up some words there. I meant to say that the functionality - not the tool itself is now part of it.

Ok its a .cmd file

...but this thing here is pretty much obsolete now, please use LOD generator in ContentManager, the version from Februar, the current one has some issues...

I have heard some people having trouble after update and needed update from CM. You can also try using older version of simplygon.

the v 9xx does not take it from me anymore as a free license, I try to see if I find a v10 older than the last one .. thanks

the problem is that a version 10 earlier than v10.0.1400.0 does not download it without a paid license
