Loch Rannoch

"Loch Rannoch is a large body of fresh water in Perth and Kinross, Scotland.
The loch and surrounding area offers good sport fishing and walking.
The small village of Kinloch Rannoch lies at the eastern end of the loch, and a crannog (an ancient artificial island) can be found near its western end.

The AI lines on the main track are in need of serious improvement. I just tried an AI race and the AI are all over the place. Track limits are missing or way off on much of the track, and in some places the AI lines cause them to drive on the grass or hit fences and walls constantly.

For example here they drive on the grass/gravel, often hitting the fence. Track limit on left is missing

Before the big jump they go way too much to right. Limit is far outside the stonewall

And they keep grinding the walls

Here the track limit is missing on the left, on the right it's way outside the wall, so the AI driver in white car keeps hitting the stonewall

Use the AI line helper app perhaps?

I have another similar track with the same name, sold by Gilles75 in 2019 ... Will it be the same? Tomorrow when I compare them I will tell you.

@Hoksu it is very odd, 1 in 100 people have AI issues in Normal, Others don't. You are happy to make a new AI, that's great. I tested with Kunos cars and ACL TC, which all finish races without issues. The sides are there for me.

@bece this is the same track that Gilles75 RIPPED and SOLD for money and without credits. This is an AUTHORIZED conversion built from fresh sources.

I really don't see how it's possible you have the sides and AI works for you, if we have the same files. So the only explanation I can think of is that we don't have the same files. Could you double-check that your upload contains the correct AI files?
 
Download from link, delete (rename old folder), select Loch Rannoch, select race, start race

all sides are there. no crashing, normal AI behavior.

This. Disabling the New AI Behavior makes the lines appear in correct places, and the AI drivers drive normally. With it on, the lines are all over the place and the AI drivers keep crashing the walls. Maybe you could look into why it mucks up the AI on this track? Doesn't happen on other tracks. Thanks for the help.

A suggestion: increasing the amount of pits would be nice imo, 12 is a tad too low.

btw this is a pretty awesome track, good job.
 
pit / start limitation was decided because of severe AI congestion.


To remove the big arrow signs, add this to ext_config.ini

[MESH_ADJUSTMENT_...]
ACTIVE=1
MESHES=1wall_SUB11, 8wall_fff_002
IS_RENDERABLE=0
