RaceDepartment will be showing a live stream from second round of the Formula One supporting 2017 TCR International Series at the Bahrain International Circuit on Saturday and Sunday April 15th - 16th.

Following the incredible season opening race weekend at the Rustavi International Motopark in Georgia, the cars and drivers head off to the Kingdom of Bahrain for round three and four of the 2017 season.

With a shock victory for the previously unfancied GE-Force Alfa Romeo Giulietta and mystifying struggles of the Honda army, the form book could well and truly be thrown away heading into Bahrain. Pre season championship favourites Jean-Karl Vernay and James Nash will be keen to bounce back after a low key season opener, as will touring car veteran Gianni Morbidelli in the West Coast Racing team as the former Grand Prix star looks to recapture the form that took him to the top of several international touring car championships over recent years.

With typically hot and dry weather due to greet the drivers this weekend in stark contrast to the inclement conditions at Rustavi last time out, this event could be the first true opportunity to see where the best form lays ahead of the remainder of the 2017 TCR International Series.

What no comments so far

Touring cars are awesome people! Share the love and leave a message :)

Plus it took much longer to write the article that you might think and comments make me happy ;) :D

i was actually pretty unfamiliar with this touring series. There is even a belgian in there. But i agree touring cars are awesome :)

Glad to have a helping introductory hand then :) Keep an eye out with TCR, it's got all the makings of becoming the top international touring car series in the next couple of years. The expansion has been massive since it launched a couple of years ago and it's only going to get better as the WTCC keeps dying on it's feet.

Oh and Corthals, he'll come on strong once he settles in I'm sure. Former WTCC race winner too in the SEAT from the mid 2000's iirc

Thank you for the Link @Paul Jeffrey ! Race 1 was good to watch, looking forward to the second one! Perhaps I should visit it on July 9th in Oschersleben

No worries mate! I've not had the chance to take in race one yet so I'll watch it later probably. Usually F1 tracks make for good touring car races due to being reasonably wide...

Oschersleben... oh hell yes do it!! :D
