Thanks very much for the amazing mod. But i've encountered an error in both GTR2 & PNG3 version when i'm about to do a pit stop. In GTR2 version, it's CTD & in PNG3 version it's stuck forever in refueling position. Any solutions will be highly appreciated.

Hi, I've no idea whether this mod is still being supported or not but I'm having problems getting it to work in my 3.2 version of PnG. The problem is its not showing up at all even though I have followed the installation procedure for it very carefully. No cars and no menu items to access them. I installed PnG using the Crew Chief method as I wanted to use that with PnG and I'm wondering if the updates that Crew Chief does on PnG may be causing the problem. So far I haven't tried it on an installation of PnG without Crew Chief so I can't be sure of this. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

If it's not appearing at all, make sure the LM_Classic gdb files are in the gamedata folder.

Hi jgf and thanks for your reply. I didn't expect one since there have been no recent posts on this so it was something of a surprise. Anyway, I've looked in my Gamedata folder and yes, I do have LM_Classic gdb files there as well as a bunch of others which your pic doesn't show. Here's a pic of all the LM_Classic files in my Gamedata folder anyway. It's bugging me a bit this as I wanted to set up a Le Mans race using these cars and that was another nightmare just trying to get the track to show up. Thankfully I solved that though via the 4gb patch I came across. I'm stumped with this though.

Thanks for the suggestion jgf. I'll have a go of that tomorrow and get back to you. It's getting late here in the UK and I've had enough of computers for today. Time for some chill out time in front of a TV i think before bed. Bye for now. JD

Add one or two cars to an existing P&G class and see if they appear.
Hi jgf. I tried your suggestion today by going into my P&G Gamedata/Teams/LM_CLASSICS folder and copying the Porsche_917K and Porsche 917L folders that I had installed there when I first installed the unzipped LM_Classics download. I wasn't sure which class to paste them into as I'm not too knowledgeable about all the different classes but I went ahead and pasted them into the P&G Gamedata/Teams/Power&Glory/PTC Over 2 Litr folder.
I then started the game and there was still no sign of them anywhere.
Prior to this, to make sure I knew what I was doing and to test whether I was adding them correctly, I downloaded another car from this website and installed it and it did work and did appear in the select car menu. So, stumped again I'm afraid. Its probably something simple but its beyond me at the moment.

First, do you have a menu option for "LE MANS CLASSICS"? If not, the issue is with the gdb files; if you have the menu but no cars in it then the issue is with the gdb not finding the cars.

My previous suggestion is to see if the cars are in their proper location and will appear in a different class. For that -
You need to edit the "class= " line in the individual .car files, adding one of the default P&G classes to it. Then select that class in the game and see if the new car appears.

For example, here is the class line from a Ferrari 330:

Classes="SIM_LM_CLASSICS, SIM_FULL, SIM_GTC, SIM_FERP3, SIM_TFL67_CLASSICS"

Here is the class line from a P&G Corvette:

classes="GTO2, CVRL_CRVT_Z06, PG1962"

Add one of those P&G classes, for instance GTO2, to the class line of one of the Lemans cars, so that Ferrari class line would now be:

Classes="SIM_LM_CLASSICS, SIM_FULL, SIM_GTC, SIM_FERP3, SIM_TFL67_CLASSICS, GTO2"

That Ferrari should now appear with the GTO2 cars.

The physical location of the cars' files is mostly irrelevant, as long as they are in the proper vehicle folder structure; the class designations control where they will appear (to the point of even having a specific car only appear at a certain track).

Problem solved jgf! Although not by any of the methods you suggested and in spite of all your much appreciated hard work and time suggesting them.

That's because in the end it was all down to me being a bit of a pillock and not understanding GTR2's/Power&Glorys menu system (I could have done with a manual here.). A sheer case of me trying to run before I could walk.

I didn't realise that you could access all the other classes and events by using the arrow keys at the top of the menu page. And there at the end of the pages was the LE MANS CLASSICS page and list of cars. Doh! I could of kicked myself when I found that out.

Anyway, your time hasn't all gone to waste. I've learned more about modding and such in the past few days than I have in months.

Thanks again for your help. I can now fully appreciate GTR'2/Power & Glory not just as a racing game/sim, but as a history lesson in motor racing in itself.

Bye for now. If I get stuck again I know who to go to.

Thanks JD
