Le Mans AMS - AMS Skies, lighting and some texture updates

Hi Guys

I hope I'm not getting into trouble by uploading this track here. This is something I did for myself to have a decent version on AMS and thought I would share it with you guys.

All credits to Sim-Racing.org for the track and Patrick Giranthon for his conversion to Stock Car Extreme.

The track was already in a very good condition so there was not much to do.

Update details v1.0:

- AMS Skies and lighting added
- Better night visibility

Texture update & small lighting adjustment

Hi Guys

I've tried to add more color and brightness to the tire walls without making them too bright in the day. Same goes for the rumble strips.

- Added glow and hue to rumble strips
- Reworked a few windows
- Set tarmac white and yellow lines slightly brighter

@ ClimaxF1
I lost a bet. I bet you won't bring your first update until tomorrow. But you stayed true to your method and released an update within a day.
thanks for the update
Haha

The only reason for this is that the longer you work on a track the less you start to notice.
After a day or two you see things differently or stuff that slipped by.

ClimaxF1 updated Le Mans AMS with a new update entry:

New Dunlop tire and banners for the grandstands

Hi Guys

You guys are probably screaming now because of two updates in one day.

There's plenty of time when in lockdown and I promise you this one is worth it.

I wasn't happy with the Dunlop tire so I decided to start from scratch which was well worth it.

As a bonus I have added some banners to the grandstands.

Update details v1.3:

- New Dunlop tire texture
- Grandstand banners added

maybe something about my setup but if i select rolling start, then press Space to skip the formation lap, the cars trundle around on a formation lap anyway. Is there a tweak i need to do to fix that?...cheers (tested only with the AJR)

Massive texture update

Hi Guys

This is probably one of the biggest texture updates that I have done for any track.

There over 300 textures which mostly are new, the rest have been redesigned for better quality.

With the track logos I've tried to place them as close as the track allows.

Update details v1.4:

- Dunlop tire added, 2019 design
- All banners have been replaced
- Smaller track side logos have all been redesigned for better quality
- Every single building worked on, windows have more...

Thanks a lot, I have downloaded the file and I will have a look a little later. I would try to enjoy offline races on this track, with a night/day timescale and many things about the track had issues, some being graphical, (skies were broke, a bit too dark at night etc), thats now all fixed and looking even better with c_f1's updates.

The AIW was another major put off, A.I driving on the grass on some corners namely, so hopefully you've been able to improve that. So I am of course really appreciative as i love the track and change of racing pace from 'normal' circuits.

Polite request; Is it possible to have trackside cams looked at, that don't zoom so far, to stop the car LOD/shadows/car model popping in and out so much? Sometimes i find myself watching the a.i and really enjoy the dramas they create and watch the pace of the different classes of cars cars over laps, so any work on cams if possible would be great.
