Laptop to HDTV - HELP NEEDED!!!

Hi all!

I run several sims, but unfortunately I only have a laptop so the screen is quite small.

This Christmas I got a GameRacer PRO that I have been using with my G25 for my PS3. Today, I decided I wanted to start playing my PC-Sims again, but I'm now sitting much further away from the screen. My solution? Easy, hook up my laptop to the HDTV I run my PS3 on using an HDMI cable. The only problem is that the games look quite grainy, and they seem to "not be refreshing fast enough."

Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have a solution? By the way, my laptop's normal screen is 1280x800 and runs at 60Hz. The TV is 1920x1080 1080p and runs at 120Hz (normally...). I run Vista on my laptop, and for some reason the control panel won't let me run the TV any higher than 60Hz, even when the TV can cope with double that amount.

Thanks in advanvce,

May be that your graphics card doesn't cope with high resolutions that much. Remember that laptop versions of graphics cards aren't as powerful as their desktop counterparts,
