Are you thinbking for the mouse mat thing? I tried one of them but wasnt strong enough for me (too much slop, vertical movement) which is why i ended up using the hinge which was much more solid.

Yes. So you found this joint to not keep the extrusion perpendicular?

Yes, i like to rest my wrist and forarm onto the pad and it didnt offer enough support for me, i can be a bit heavy handed and careless at times, the slightest pressure and it started to tilt..........ok scrub that, i was using it with only two of the four inserts, so maybe with the four it will be fine, but the hinge was\is so much more supportive, i can lean on it and it dosnt move a millimetre.
