Seems that the BMWM4 and the caymanGT4 are the cheapest (or the easiest) car to licenced^^ Very curious about the next GT4, wich one will it be ? maybe the mustang...maybe the audi and mercedes(wich are the most represented irl)...wait and see ;)
we are probably not going to see many more GT4s. iracing just upped their car limit from 7 to 8, there is a little endurance series introduced for this year which goes 4 races each 12 hours and for the first time ever 4 classes. gte, gt3, gt4, tcr. a similar plan will follow the VLN series, without the GTE of course. you already have the case that not every GTE/GT3 can drive every series but only a few select ones. IMSA for example only allows the merc and the audi, none of the other GT3s. VLN last year only allowed merc, audi and the ferrari. so you were never going to drive the 05 ford gt, the mp4-12c or the z4 outside vrs. so i think iracing is not gonna spend ressources anytime soon on a 3rd GT4 car that cannot race every series that involves GT4 cars.
would make more sense to work on a 2nd TCR car

iracing had licenced IMSA Michelin Pilot as an official serie...this serie runs with GT4 and TCR, not more not less...
VLN or the league race you talk about are something totally different ;)
So i'm 100% conviced that we'll see more GT4'coming (at least 2 others) and one more tcr (Hyundai probably) ....we'll see in the future if i'm right or wrong, not important, i'm happy with GT4'coming, that's a thing I would since 3 years :)

I have stated before; race what you like and be happy with that. But also allow others to be happy with what they choose. You don't have to buy all of iRacing content. The money I spend on other sims with DLC I could have purchased all of the iRacing content without having to spend another upgrade/New DLC content when version 1,2,3 comes out. At some point iRacing becomes less expensive over time; at least for me. I concentrate on one or two cars anyway rather than be mediocre on twenty.
Just be happy and have fun. There is no right or wrong.
But for those of us who do like iRacing....great news on the upgrades and new cars!!!

It's official : next update (tomorrow 04 february) will bring us oval AI racing ....okok, it's only daytona and talladega (superspeedway, so not really interesting, a bit boring, but it's a first step, and that is with the cup serie : omg) ...it will also bring for road driver Okayama and sebring AI .... feels good :)
